How many mailboxes should I protect with Inbox Defense?

Only full email accounts require protection. Aliases, shared mailboxes, and distribution lists don’t need separate licenses, since they’re covered under the main protected accounts.

How many computers should I protect with Device Defense?

Yes. Every computer used for your practice, whether in the office, at home, or on the go, needs protection to ensure consistent security and compliance.

How many accounts should I protect with Cloud Defense?

Every mailbox you protect with Inbox Defense should also be covered by Cloud Defense. This ensures every email account, along with every file and folder in your Microsoft 365 or Google Drive environment, is securely backed up and recoverable.

How do I activate my protection?

After checkout, you’ll receive an email with setup instructions for Device Defense and Inbox Defense. Simply follow the steps to download, install, or grant access. Our systems handle the rest automatically.

What if I need help during setup?

Our support team is happy to assist. If you encounter any issues, reply to your setup email or contact us directly. We’ll walk you through every step until you’re fully protected.

How do I know my protection is active?

You’ll receive a confirmation email as soon as Device Defense is active on your computers. For Inbox Defense, the software will run for about one week while it learns your email history, then you’ll receive a confirmation that full protection is enabled.

Does Depentech provide after-hours support?

While our client support team operates during standard business hours (PT), our 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) continuously monitors for and responds to threats in real time.

What happens if a threat is detected?

Our system automatically neutralizes most threats using advanced AI technology. If human review is required, our security team steps in and resolves the issue, no action needed from you.

Is my practice HIPAA compliant with Depentech?

Depentech helps you meet your HIPAA security obligations by protecting your systems and data with compliant safeguards. Compliance itself, however, is shared, your internal policies and staff procedures also play an important role.

How do I cancel or change my subscription?

You can pause or cancel your subscription anytime through our website. To add or remove computers, inboxes, or cloud accounts, please fill out our Contact Support Form linked in the footer and our team will make those updates for you. There are no hidden fees or long-term commitments — you’re always in control.
